Tallow Zinc Balm

Feeling guilty about not using SPF due to sensory issues and very sensitive skin, I saw this item pop up on Facebook and investigated. As it is very reasonably priced and I’m an avid tallow user anyway, I took the plunge and ordered the light medium. Well, this is now my go to foundation for work and weekend! It offers lovely buildable coverage with a fabulous neutral undertone that suits my quite fair skin. The product actually sets to a lovely light moisturising texture that it’s glowy but not greasy, it lasts on my quite oily skin all day and is a dream to remove leaving my face as if I had just had tallow on all day (I had , I guess !) I used for evening with a light dusting of setting powder, pics came out perfect.
The main benefit for me is the undetectable weight and texture once it’s on my face, absolutely no sensory issues and no flare ups or irritation.
I’m 54 so a few fine lines and dark spots, this product does not settle in lines, it leaves a close to perfect finish, one I have not achieved with even top quality foundation in a long time.
My best friend was so impressed on trying mine on her rosy undertone pale skin , she ordered immediately (similar issues to my skin).

I enjoy lap swimming, but I'm allergic to chlorine 🫠 I was determined to find a way to still swim a couple times a week without having a terrible reaction. This zinc balm is very thick and is really effective to use as a barrier cream. I find using it together with a vitamin c spray before swimming really helps prevent my skin from absorbing the chlorine! It takes awhile to apply to my entire body as its so thick, but I'm grateful that it works so well. Also it prevents me from getting sunburnt but I still come home with a nice tan. I'm looking forward to trying the new tinted shades next!

I have used zinc based products all my life and generally also love tallow products, including other brands of tallow and zinc. I have never been so disappointed - I was literally purple when I put on the product. It is also very thick and even when I thought I scrubbed it all off, the residue was enough to completely stain my towel brown. I don’t understand who thought such a purple tint was a good idea (deceptive marketing as the photos don’t really show how purple and almost muddy it is). The product is SO bad it’s almost laughable. If I could give it a zero I would.

Yes like with all natural Zinc creams you do get a white glow however I find this cream blends in quiet quickly. I use it daily on my face. It's a non negotiable part of my daily skincare. In the cooler months I put a some jojoba oil underneath for extra moisture but in the warmer months I just put this Zinc cream on.

Did not provide Sun protection other than a little on my face, sits on the surface on the skin, has an intense beef smell, dogs were literally running up to me as I was laying on the beach
